About the job Kent is looking for a Piping Manager to support ongoing workshare projects. Responsibilities Design Review and Approval: review and approve designs (documents and plans) and incorporate comments, in accordance with specific requests from the Engineering and Projects area, verifying that the software and standards have been implemented and applied, to comply with the client’s requirements and corresponding quality. Planning and Execution: advise and supervise personnel under charge in the planning and execution of each project, defining scope, applicable standards, and assigning priorities to the work group to comply with the Detailed Work Plan (PDT) and the project’s man‑hours. Preparation of Offers: estimate the man‑hours and deliverables required, based on knowledge and experience of projects, to obtain a proposal that meets the client’s requirements. Technical Quality Management in Deliverables: ensure that the tools and methods established by the Company are used for the quality control of deliverables, according to the specialty, using the standards and control schemes that have been defined, to meet the Quality and Compliance parameters defined in the Quality Plan of each project and in the Promise. Registration and Control of Man‑Hours: ensure that the personnel in charge record the consumption of Man‑Hours in the Registration and Control System assigned by the company. Performance Evaluation: conduct the annual performance evaluation of each employee, according to the performance indicators defined by each specialty and the organizational competencies of the company, to establish personnel classifications that identify shortcomings and reinforce the technical level of the people in charge. Additional ad‑hoc tasks: perform other tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management, within the reasonable scope of the employee’s skills, capabilities, and role, ensuring operational requirements are met efficiently and with regard to professional development. Knowledge / Qualification / Training / Certification Professional in Mechanical Engineering. Specialization in Project Management, Piping Design or related to the Oil and Gas sector desirable. Knowledge and experience in pipeline design, especially in surface facilities, pumping/compression stations, oil and gas pipelines, natural gas treatment processes. Broad technical criteria for the analysis of comments and their generation. Experience in reviewing and approving drawings and technical documents of the Piping discipline. Expert‑level handling of technical standards applicable to pipe design (ASME, ASTM, API, NFPA). Knowledge of technical characteristics of materials, pipe components. Interpretation and analysis of results of simulation programs for flexibility analysis in Pipeline (Caesar II, Autopipe or similar). Knowledge of calculation software and design of the pipe discipline. Administrative and managerial skills for handling and interacting with work teams focused on achieving the objectives of each project. Experience in preparation of proposals and estimation of man‑hours and resources for the different stages of engineering projects (conceptual, basic, detailed and FEED) in the specialty of piping. Experience in planning, budgeting, controlling and monitoring of engineering activities of projects, in the reading of MS Project reports or equivalent software. Know the interrelation of the activities and deliverables carried out by Pipeline with those of the other disciplines. Experience in technical evaluations of offers from suppliers of piping materials and components and/or services related to the discipline. Knowledge and interpretation of specific and interdisciplinary plans that are generated in the different projects. Basic knowledge of AutoCAD. Handling office tools. Knowledge of HSEQ regulations and procedures associated with the role. Communication Excellent command of Spanish – English (mandatory) language in both oral and written communication and skills. Behavior / Core Competencies Experience of 15.1 years or more, including at least 5 years in leadership, management or coordination of projects in piping. Experience in the design and execution in piping for engineering projects in surface facilities, pumping/compression stations, oil and gas pipelines, natural gas treatment processes. Experience in preparing technical bids. Experience in leadership, management of work teams and human and technical resources. Experience in planning, budgeting, control and monitoring of engineering activities of projects. Experience and participation in the different phases of engineering, construction, assembly, commissioning, consulting and/or project auditing for the Oil and Gas sector.
