At Blankfactor, we engineer impact. We partner with leading financial services and technology organizations to modernize platforms, unlock scalability, and deliver measurable outcomes. Our teams work across complex enterprise environments, transforming legacy systems into cloud-ready, future-proof architectures. We specialize in full-stack development, data engineering, digital product, and enterprise AI solutions across banking, lending, capital markets, and payments. Headquartered in Miami, Florida, with global delivery teams across Europe and Latin America, Blankfactor is one of the fastest-growing engineering consultancies in the U.S. We hire experienced, high-caliber professionals who thrive in complex problem spaces and take ownership of outcomes. Role Overview We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support large-scale platform modernization initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of product, architecture, and delivery, and is critical to ensuring work is sequenced correctly, dependencies are understood, and teams are executing against a coherent plan . This is not a traditional requirements-only BA role. You will work closely with technical leads, architects, product owners, and delivery leads to translate high-level modernization strategy into clear, prioritized, and executable work across multiple teams. You must be comfortable operating in ambiguity, asking the right questions, and reasoning through complex systems rather than waiting for fully defined inputs. What You Will Do Analysis & Problem Solving Analyze complex legacy systems, workflows, and technical designs to understand how pieces fit together , not just what they do. Break down large, ambiguous problem statements into structured, actionable work without over-specifying or constraining engineering solutions. Perform impact analysis for proposed changes, identifying downstream effects across systems, data, and teams. Program & Delivery Enablement Partner with delivery and technical leads to sequence work across modules, components, and dependencies , including root-node and leaf-node level analysis. Translate modernization strategy into prioritized epics, features, and stories aligned to program increments and milestones. Identify and document cross-team dependencies, risks, assumptions, and constraints , ensuring they are visible early and managed proactively. Support PI planning and ongoing execution by validating scope readiness, sequencing logic, and capacity alignment. Requirements & Documentation Produce clear, concise documentation such as: Business and functional requirements User stories with acceptance criteria Process flows and dependency diagrams Data mappings and integration touchpoints Ensure documentation supports delivery and decision-making rather than becoming shelfware. Facilitate working sessions, backlog refinement, and planning discussions with engineers, architects, QA, and product stakeholders. Act as a strong thought partner to technical leads by challenging assumptions, clarifying intent, and validating sequencing . Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, adjusting depth as needed. Tooling & AI Enablement Leverage analytical tools and AI-assisted techniques (where appropriate) to accelerate analysis, documentation, and synthesis. Use structured thinking and tooling to manage complexity rather than relying on manual or purely linear approaches. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst on complex, multi-team enterprise initiatives . Demonstrated experience working alongside engineering and architecture teams , not just product or business stakeholders. Strong ability to reason about systems, dependencies, and sequencing , especially in modernization or transformation programs. Experience supporting Agile delivery at scale (PI planning, multi-team backlogs, dependency tracking). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a bias toward clarity and execution. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Experience Experience with platform modernization, legacy system migration, or large refactoring initiatives. Familiarity with concepts such as modular architectures, dependency graphs, and phased delivery. Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro/Lucid, Power BI, or similar. Comfort working in regulated or high-risk environments where accuracy and traceability matter. Experience using AI tools to support analysis, synthesis, or documentation (not as a replacement for judgment). What Success Looks Like Teams understand what to build, in what order, and why . Dependencies and risks are surfaced early, not discovered during execution. Delivery leads and engineers see you as a trusted partner , not a gatekeeper. Plans are realistic, defensible, and aligned to program goals. Documentation enables progress instead of slowing it down. #J-18808-Ljbffr
