About The Role We are looking for a Technical Product Manager to help drive Telesign’s digital identity, fraud prevention, and verification products forward. This role sits at the intersection of Product, Engineering, Data Science, Customer Success, Operations, and GTM. You will translate product strategy and customer needs into clear technical requirements, maintain a high‑quality product backlog, and work closely with engineering teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and customer‑impacting capabilities. This is a hands‑on technical product role. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with APIs, system dependencies, data flows, technical tradeoffs, and enterprise customer requirements. You should be able to understand the “why” behind the product direction while also driving the “how” through clear requirements, strong backlog discipline, and effective collaboration with Engineering. Key Responsibilities Product Execution & Backlog Ownership Own and maintain the product backlog in Jira, ensuring priorities are clear, well‑defined, and aligned with product strategy and business goals. Translate product direction, customer needs, and stakeholder input into epics, user stories, technical requirements, and acceptance criteria. Break down complex platform, API, fraud, identity, and verification capabilities into actionable deliverables for engineering teams. Continuously refine and prioritize backlog items to ensure readiness for upcoming sprints and planning cycles, balancing customer impact, business value, technical debt, reliability, scalability, and delivery feasibility. Technical Product Management Work closely with Engineering, Architecture, Data Science, QA, and Operations to clarify requirements and support technical decision‑making. Understand system architecture, APIs, data flows, dependencies, and operational constraints to inform prioritization and delivery tradeoffs. Participate in solution design discussions and help identify risks, edge cases, dependencies, and implementation constraints early. Ensure delivered capabilities meet acceptance criteria, product intent, quality expectations, and customer requirements. Support API‑first and platform‑oriented product development with clear documentation and structured requirements. Agile Delivery & Team Collaboration Act as the Product Owner within Agile/Scrum teams, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, demos, and retrospectives. Partner with Program Managers and Engineering leads to support company planning processes and delivery commitments. Manage sprint scope in partnership with Engineering and Product leadership, making pragmatic tradeoffs when priorities or constraints change. Provide clarity to the team during sprint execution and ensure engineering teams understand the customer problem, business context, and expected outcome. Requirements, Documentation & Quality Write clear, concise user stories using strong product management practices, including testable acceptance criteria. Document workflows, business logic, system interactions, API behavior, edge cases, and dependencies in Confluence or equivalent tools. Collaborate with QA to ensure requirements are testable and delivered features are validated against acceptance criteria. Maintain transparency on status, risks, decisions, and open questions across teams. Stakeholder Collaboration Serve as a key liaison between Product leadership, Engineering, QA, Customer Success, Operations, UX, and GTM teams. Gather and validate requirements from internal stakeholders and customer‑facing teams. Communicate roadmap context, sprint outcomes, delivery progress, risks, and tradeoffs clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences. Manage competing demands by applying structured prioritization and escalating key tradeoffs when needed. Essential Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 3+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager, Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar product execution role. Strong experience with backlog management, sprint tracking, reporting, and release planning. Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and product delivery practices. Proven ability to write clear user stories, technical requirements, and acceptance criteria. Technical fluency with APIs, platform products, data flows, system dependencies, and software development processes. Strong written and spoken English fluency is required, including the ability to write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, product documentation, and stakeholder updates for global teams. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to make pragmatic tradeoffs. High ownership, attention to detail, and ability to operate in a fast‑moving environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience with identity, authentication, fraud prevention, risk signals, telecommunications, CPaaS, SaaS, or API‑based products. Experience working with REST APIs, developer‑facing products, data pipelines, or ML/risk‑based systems. Ability to write basic scripts or code to test APIs, validate workflows, explore data, and prototype product ideas is preferred; this is not a production engineering role. Experience with Jira, SAFe or scaled Agile frameworks. Experience supporting enterprise‑grade products with reliability, scalability, security, and compliance considerations. Familiarity with tools such as Confluence, Looker, Tableau, Postman, Datadog, or similar product, analytics, and observability tools. Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate combines strong product execution discipline with technical depth. You can work with engineers on system behavior and implementation tradeoffs, while also understanding customer needs, business priorities, and product outcomes. You are structured, detail‑oriented, collaborative, and comfortable turning ambiguity into clear requirements that help teams deliver high‑quality products. #J-18808-Ljbffr
