As part of Chubb’s North America Solutions Engineering team, you will have the opportunity to work with modern technologies such as GenAI and Cloud, while reducing existing technical debt, all the while driving positive impact to the business bottom line. Responsibilities Work with Lead Solutions Design Engineers to implement critical deliverables for line‑of‑business applications. Work within an Agile/Scrum environment writing code against user stories for ultimate release into production; participate in various Scrum ceremonies along the way. Ensure that the Chubb standards and engineering best practices are followed by leading by example. Provide a crucial link between the line‑of‑business engineering teams and the central North America Solutions Engineering team to ensure what’s delivered is built as‑designed, and tweak designs as necessary based on detailed discovery during product delivery. Participate in design reviews and code reviews to ensure conformance to proposed designs and general best practices. Help research and prototype emerging technologies that advance digital transformation. Manage and ensure compliance with Chubb technology platforms roadmap and architectural principles. Qualifications At least 4 years of experience in hands‑on software development. Hands‑on coding in a modern programming language (e.g., Java, Python) and experience with Spring Boot, microservices, REST, SOAP Services. Relational (DB2, SQL Server) and non‑relational (e.g., Mongo, CosmosDB) database knowledge. Experience developing microservices architectures. Cloud experience—Azure preferred—in multiple areas including API Management, Kubernetes, lightweight functions, and DBaaS. At least 1 year of DevOps/DevSecOps experience and familiarity with CI/CD tools. Experience with messaging platforms such as Kafka, JMS, or similar. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering (preferred). Insurance or Financial Services background is a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
