Role Summary and Impact This highly strategic and hands‑on leadership role is for a visionary Media Planning Director LATAM with a passion for the tech industry. The role oversees and orchestrates the entire media planning and activation operation for a key tech client across 14+ markets in LATAM. The primary impact lies in being an operational architect, standardizing routines, processes and best practices across the region to ensure consistency and efficiency. The director develops and implements cutting‑edge 360‑degree strategies (ATL, Digital, e-commerce), builds and maintains strong relationships with senior client stakeholders, and leads, influences and guides large, dispersed regional teams. The work focuses on solving complex problems with clear plans, driving significant account growth through operational excellence and strategic foresight, and shaping the future of regional media strategies by leveraging WPP's advanced tools and expertise. The role seeks a strategic "doer" who isn't afraid to get hands‑on for client "big bets," transforming vision into real, measurable impact across the region. Responsibilities Oversee and orchestrate media planning and activation across 14+ LATAM markets for a key tech client. Act as operational architect: standardize routines, processes and best practices across the region. Develop and implement 360‑degree media strategies (ATL, Digital, e‑commerce). Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client stakeholders. Lead, influence and guide large, dispersed regional media teams. Solve complex problems with clear plans and drive account growth through operational excellence. Education and Experience Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Advertising, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications is a plus. Professional Experience: 8+ years of progressive media planning and buying with a focus on digital media. At least 3 years in a leadership role managing client accounts and teams. Extensive experience leading multi‑market operations across the LATAM region. Proven in strategic planning, budget management and complex media negotiation at the regional scale. Regional e‑commerce experience is a significant advantage. Track record of successfully leading, influencing and developing large multidisciplinary media teams across different locations. Technical Skills & Knowledge Languages: Advanced proficiency in English (B2+). Strategic Media Expertise: Deep understanding and hands‑on experience in integrated 360‑degree media strategies (ATL & Digital) with a strong regional lens. Digital Marketing Acumen: In‑depth knowledge of e‑commerce platforms, digital branding strategies, performance marketing (SEM, Social, Programmatic) and advanced performance metrics. Analytics & Tools: Proficiency with media planning tools, analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics), ad servers, strong data interpretation skills; GA4 certification is a strong advantage. Executive Leadership & Influence: Exceptional ability to lead, influence and motivate large, diverse teams across a region towards common goals within a matrixed structure. Strategic & Operational Thinking: Superior ability to think strategically, identify regional commonalities and opportunities, and translate vision into actionable standardized plans. Senior Client & Stakeholder Management: Outstanding interpersonal skills with proven ability to build and maintain strong, influential relationships with senior client stakeholders. Problem Solver & Hands‑On: Proactive and positive approach, eager to take hands‑on responsibility for critical client projects ("big bets"), proven ability to solve complex problems with clear executable plans.
