Role Purpo se The Senior Regional Cyber Underwriter supports the growth and development of Cyber insurance portfolios across Latin America by partnering closely with local Financial Lines underwriting teams. The role provides technical underwriting support, structuring guidance, portfolio insight, and capability development to enable each country to grow its Cyber portfolio in line with the GRS framework, agreed risk appetite, and underwriting standards. In addition, the role will actively underwrite Cyber risks and contribute directly to portfolio growth, supporting new and renewal business alongside local teams, particularly on complex, strategic, or cross‑border accounts. The position acts as a regional enabler and subject‑matter resource, strengthening consistency, discipline, and technical excellence across the LATAM Financial Lines platform. Contribute to the development and execution of the annual Cyber business plan for Latin America, ensuring alignment with GRS and LSM strategic objectives and risk tolerances. Actively support the Cyber portfolio in the region, balancing growth, profitability, aggregation control, and long‑term sustainability Identify market opportunities, emerging cyber risks, and regional trends to support product development and portfolio optimization. Act as a thought partner to regional and global leadership by contributing ideas, insights, and best practices in Cyber underwriting Underwrite Cyber risks in accordance with underwriting guidelines, delegated authority, and reinsurance requirements Independently negotiate rates, terms, conditions, and coverage structures for new and renewal business Apply strong judgment on coverage, wordings, limits, retentions, and exposure management, including complex or non‑standardrisks Ensure contract certainty and accurate, timely issuance of underwriting documentation Maintain high‑quality underwriting files and ensure accurate data capture across underwriting and exposure management systems Monitor and analyze portfolio performance, loss trends, and exposure accumulations across LATAM Contribute to portfolio reviews and governance forums, escalating risks outside authority where required Apply reinsurance structures and authority tiers appropriately, ensuring compliance with internal Cyber authority frameworksSupport consistency of underwriting approach across countries while allowing for local market. Broker & Stakeholder Management Establish and strengthen senior‑level relationships with key brokers, cedents, reinsurers, and strategic partners across the region Act as a Cyber subject‑matter expert for brokers and internal stakeholders Coordinate closely with GRS Global Cyber, Claims, Cyber Risk Engineering, Actuarial, and Operations teams Represent Cyber underwriting in regional and global forums as requiered People Leadership & Capability Building Work collaboratively with existing Financial Lines underwriting teams in LATAM to support Cyber growth Train, mentor, and upskill Financial Lines underwriters on Cyber insurance fundamentals, underwriting approach, and market developments Promote underwriting discipline, technical excellence, and consistent application of Cyber standards across the region Policy, Process & Compliance Ensure full compliance with internal policies, underwriting standards, and applicable regulatory requirements Proactively demonstrate adherence to Conduct Risk principles, including fair treatment of customers, data protection, financial crime prevention, and conflicts of interest Uphold LSM’s commitment to integrity, transparency, and customer‑centric underwriting at all times Skills, Experience & Profile RequirementsTechnical & Professional Experience Minimum 3+ years of dedicated Cyber underwriting experience Strong understanding of Cyber insurance coverage, wordings, exclusions, and aggregation risk Solid knowledge of Cyber & Tech E&O (highly preferred) Proven experience using pricing tools, risk profiling methodologies, and loss models Good working knowledge of IT security concepts, cyber threats, and incident scenarios Market & Regional Demonstrated understanding of LATAM insuranc e markets, broker dynamics, and regulatory e nvironmentsAbility to independently build a Cyber portfolio while integrating with existing country‑level Financial lines teamsExperience operating within a global underwriting framework (GRS‑style governance and authority structures).
