The Role We are seeking a highly capable and hands‑on Finance & Accounting Senior Specialist to take full ownership of our finance operations across our Colombian subsidiary and the U.S. parent company. This is a high‑impact role responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and efficiency of our financial operations across jurisdictions (Colombia and US) ensuring accounting & tax compliance, robust reporting, seamless procurement and cost control so that we run a disciplined, compliant, and controlled operation. What You Will Do Lead the accounting operations of the assigned company(ies) within the Group, ensuring financial transactions’ accuracy and compliance, as well as the proper maintenance and safeguarding of supporting documentation and working papers. Coordinate with the corresponding teams to ensure the proper and timely recording of sales invoices, accounts payable, payroll, T&E expenses, amortization, depreciation, and other relevant transactions. Own the end‑to‑end month‑end process and the preparation of the Monthly Management Report Package for the assigned entities. Maintain a “continuous audit” environment by ensuring the preparation and approval of balance sheet reconciliations for the assigned companies. Oversee the services provided by auditors, external accountants, and tax advisors. Ensure the correct and timely accounting of payroll, personnel costs, and related expenses by the SSC in compliance with local legislations for the assigned entities. Develop and monitor continuous improvement initiatives in day‑to‑day operations. Implement any measures required by the region or headquarters to ensure compliance with local regulations applicable to the assigned companies. Support the preparation of the budget for the assigned entities. Identify and act upon opportunities to improve operational expenses in order to positively impact EBITDA within the scope of the role. Ensure compliance with local policies regarding purchase orders, payment terms to suppliers, nature of expenses, approval workflows, and confirmation of receipt of goods or services. Prepare management performance reports required by the local entities management, ensuring reconciliation with the Trial Balance (TB) and alignment with the financial reality of the company. Ensure timely monthly and annual accounting closures in compliance with both internal calendar and local statutory deadlines. Support banking operations when applicable for the assigned entities. Support Group Treasury to manage cash flow and liquidity. Support Group Treasury in monitoring and managing local banking relationships and financial risk. Develop strategies to ensure proper tracking, control, and transfer of intercompany costs in accordance with defined parameters. Ensure adherence to Group's administrative policies and procedures and contribute in their further development. Note: This list represents key responsibilities but is not exhaustive. The Finance and Accounting Senior Specialist may be required to perform additional tasks as needed to support the smooth operation of the company(ies). What We Are Looking For Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent professional qualification will be considered an asset. Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in financial accounting and reporting, with 2–3 years in a Senior or Controller role. Controlling Expertise: Proven track record in cost controlling, expenses budget management, and procurement oversight. Knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements plus experience with IFRS. Background as accountant/controller of a US based company. Experience managing financial audits and working with external auditors. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel), financial accounting software and ERPs (especially Quickbooks and NetSuite). Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
