About the Role We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Piping BIM/VDC Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the detailed design and development of mechanical piping models for coordination and shop drawings for construction and prefabrication, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the representation of mechanical systems. This position requires proficiency in industry-standard software tools and a strong understanding of design principles to support project delivery from concept through completion. Responsibilities Develop and maintain detailed 3D models using Revit Fabrication and NavisWorks to support project objectives. Create and modify detailed shop drawings, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate designs across disciplines. Draft construction documents and prepare layouts for mechanical design projects. Work with point clouds to coordinate with existing conditions. Conduct quality control checks on models to ensure accuracy and completeness before delivery. Assist in the preparation of presentations, including 3D animations, to effectively communicate design intent. Stay up to date on industry trends and advancements in BIM technologies to improve workflow efficiency. Qualifications 3–6 years of relevant work experience. Proficient in BIM software, including Revit Fabrication, NavisWorks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud. Strong understanding of drafting techniques and mechanical piping design principles and codes. Experience creating detailed drawings, including sections, spools, and isometric views. Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Experience High-rise residential projects, mechanical rooms, hospitals, and office fit-outs. Experience working on projects in NYC, PA, or FL. Experience attending BIM coordination meetings in fast-paced environments. Schedule 100% remote opportunity. Monday to Friday, East Coast Time.
