Software Engineer (Apache Kafka) at BairesDev As a Software Engineer specializing in Apache Kafka, you will build and operate real‑time data pipelines to power event‑driven architectures. You will play a key role in designing scalable streaming solutions, ensuring high throughput and reliability across the enterprise data ecosystem. What You'll Do Design, implement, and manage production‑grade Kafka clusters and streaming applications. Develop real‑time data integration pipelines using Kafka Connect and Kafka Streams. Optimize cluster performance, topic configurations, and resource utilization for high‑scale environments. Implement robust data schemas and versioning strategies using Avro and Confluent Schema Registry. Collaborate with engineering teams to define event‑driven standards and streaming best practices. Ensure system availability and data integrity through proactive monitoring and disaster recovery planning. What We Are Looking For 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or Stream Processing. Proven expertise in building and operating real‑time data pipelines using Apache Kafka. Proficiency in designing and implementing event‑driven architectures at scale. Hands‑on experience with Kafka Streams, Confluent, and Avro for data serialization.
