As a Business Analyst, you will work directly with healthcare clients to understand, refine, and translate requirements related to clinical assessments—specifically those based on the interRAI framework. You will adapt existing assessments within the healthcare platform to meet client needs, configure assessment capabilities, support modifications, and ensure end-to-end testing and validation. This role requires strong healthcare domain expertise and, ideally, hands‑on experience with interRAI standardized assessments . Working alongside product, engineering, and delivery teams, you will serve as the primary owner of the business domain, ensuring that assessment‑related requirements are accurately defined, technically feasible, and successfully delivered. This is a 10–12 month contract role with the possibility of extension. About the Product The Healthcare platform is an enterprise software solution designed for organizations that deliver and manage health and social care services. The system is highly configurable, allowing it to adapt to the needs of different sectors, and is built on the interRAI framework. As an EHR solution, the Healthcare platform supports care management and helps organizations deliver high‑quality, consistent care. interRAI is an international nonprofit network that develops evidence‑based assessment tools for health and social care. These tools help providers understand individuals’ health and functional needs, support care planning and decision‑making, guide resource and funding decisions, and measure outcomes consistently across different settings. In Canada, interRAI assessments are widely adopted and supported by organizations such as the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) for use in long‑term care, home care, and community services. Project Overview We’re extending a Canadian healthcare platform to support additional InterRAI standardized assessments, enabling more comprehensive evaluation of elderly or vulnerable individuals’ health and care needs. This project enhances the system’s assessment capabilities, user workflows, and reporting for use across multiple Canadian provinces. Key Responsibilities Work closely with healthcare clients to clarify assessment related requirements, especially those aligned to the InterRAI framework. Analyse, configure, and adapt existing Healthcare assessments to meet jurisdictional or organizational needs. Collaborate with the product engineering team when assessment logic, scoring models, or data structures require technical enhancement. Perform end‑to‑end functional testing of assessment workflows, ensuring accuracy, usability, and compliance with InterRAI standards. General Business Analyst Responsibilities Participate in sprint ceremonies, ensuring product priorities and assessment requirements are understood by delivery teams. Support issue triage and resolution for assessment related bugs or functional gaps. Identify risks early and propose mitigation strategies to ensure timely delivery. Collaborate with cross functional teams including engineering, design, product, customer success Promote strong documentation and knowledge sharing practices. Healthcare domain experience, including with EHR/EMR systems. Knowledge of InterRAI assessments or similar standardized clinical assessment tools (strongly preferred). Experience gathering and documenting complex requirements within software or product organizations. Ability to translate clinical or workflow needs into detailed user stories with precise acceptance criteria. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders. Comfort participating in technical discussions and collaborating with engineering teams. Preferred Skills Proven ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams, including engineering, commercial teams, and senior management. Experience with cloud‑based technologies.
