From an engineering perspective, we are actively building systems that include: Modular web applications with clear separation of concerns (frontend, backend, services) API-first architectures for integrations across tools and platforms AI-powered workflows embedded into real business processes Internal tools and dashboards that operate as lightweight operating systems for teams Event-driven and automation-based systems connecting multiple services Our development team is currently lean: 1 business analyst About the Role Conversational English is required We’re looking for a Software Engineer (3+ years of experience) based in Colombia who can take ownership of building and maintaining production-grade systems with solid architecture and engineering discipline . This role is focused on: Turning ideas into reliable, production-ready applications Designing and improving system architecture (frontend, backend, and integrations) Ensuring code quality, performance, security, and scalability Bringing structure to how we design, build, review, and ship software You will work across multiple products and internal systems, helping define how they are architected, deployed, and evolved over time . Compensation Bonuses: Based on delivery, milestones, and outcomes What You'll Do Design and build production-ready applications and systems Architect solutions with clear patterns (modular design, separation of concerns, reusable components) Define and improve backend structures, API layers, and data flows Ensure systems are scalable, maintainable, and secure Review and process pull requests with strong engineering standards Help define and execute technical roadmaps for each product Improve system reliability (error handling, logging, performance optimization) Design integrations between services (APIs, webhooks, automation flows) Deploy and manage applications in cloud environments Integrate AI into workflows in a structured and production-ready way Collaborate closely with founders, operators, and stakeholders You will be responsible not just for writing code, but for ensuring what gets shipped works well in production . You don’t need to know everything, but you should be comfortable across most of this stack: Development Next.js (or similar frameworks) API design (REST or similar patterns) Data handling and basic database interactions AI & Development Workflow Integration with AI APIs into real systems Infrastructure & Deployment Docker (basic understanding is sufficient) Environment configuration and basic DevOps practices Architecture & Systems Thinking Understanding of frontend/backend separation API-first thinking Basic understanding of scalability, performance, and fault tolerance General Code reviews, PR processes, and engineering best practices What Makes This Role Meaningful You won’t just be writing code — you’ll be building systems that: Help business owners operate more effectively Support entrepreneurs scaling their companies Enable communities to organize and create impact Power real-world tools used by teams and organizations You will see the direct impact of what you build.
