Our client Net Promoter Score of 68, twice the industry average. The Position As a Legal Counsel, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring legal compliance and mitigating risks across our operations. You will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal agreements, advising on corporate governance, labor law, intellectual property, and privacy matters, and ensuring compliance with local and international regulations. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, providing strategic legal guidance, and we need a self-starter who takes initiative in managing legal risks and supporting business objectives. Responsibilities Review, draft, and negotiate legal agreements, amendments, commercial contracts, and Statements of Work (SOWs) in both English and Spanish. Provide legal advice and counsel to business stakeholders and corporate leadership across Latin America. Support the company on employment law matters, contracts, claims, and the creation of internal policies, processes, and procedures. Ensure compliance with legal, contractual, and risk management policies to minimize liability and mitigate corporate risk. Monitor and analyze changes in applicable laws and regulations impacting the business. Assist in the development and delivery of legal trainings, business legal reports, and internal communications for leadership and operational teams. Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, external legal counsel, vendors, and customers on legal and compliance-related matters. Manage multiple legal priorities simultaneously while maintaining high-quality work product and meeting deadlines. Support legal matters related to corporate governance, privacy, intellectual property, compliance, and other general corporate legal disciplines. Participate in domestic and international legal support initiatives as needed, including occasional travel requirements. What We're Looking For 3+ years of relevant legal experience, with strong exposure to commercial agreements, contract review, and negotiation processes. Bachelor’s degree in Law and qualification to practice law in Colombia, with the ability to advise on corporate and operational legal matters across Latin America. Advanced English is required. Previous experience in the IT or technology industry is strongly preferred. Fully bilingual in English and Spanish, with strong legal drafting, review, and negotiation experience for legal agreements and related amendments in both languages. Strong understanding of general corporate legal disciplines, including employment law, compliance, privacy, intellectual property, litigation, and corporate governance. Effective negotiator with strong business acumen and the ability to serve as a trusted business advisor. Exceptional analytical, written, and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and thrive in fast-paced environments with minimal oversight. Strong relationship-building and cross-functional collaboration skills when working with internal and external stakeholders. Experience creating or improving legal processes, policies, procedures, and trainings. High proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard business tools.
