This role is directly responsible for the administration and accounting of the Colombia subsidiary, ensuring full compliance with IHG’s accounting and finance policies, as well as local regulations related to taxes, commercial requirements, labor matters, and other applicable standards. The position is also responsible for maintaining ongoing communication with key stakeholders, including Human Resources, the Corporate Finance, Tax and Legal teams, MLAC Operations, Commercial, banking executives, the accounting team in India, and both internal and external auditors. Key Accountabilities Perform core accounting activities, including maintaining accounting registers, billing, accounts receivables, vendor and payroll payments, executing bank reconciliations, preparing aging reports, and analyzing significant variances in balance sheet and P&L results. Prepare monthly financial statements and annual reports in accordance with standard accounting practices. Forecasted monthly cash flow. Prepare and review the Monthly Balance and P&L for Corporate accounting records. Prepare accurate monthly reporting for internal and external auditors. Process payroll twice a month for 12 employees and calculate social security contributions, prepare corresponding reports, and ensure timely payments. Manage employee travel expenses ensuring compliance with IHG policies. Coordinate surveys and training on HR topics such as the Psychosocial Factors Survey 2025. Manage social security issues and SURA, and medical services for travel. Reconciliation of audited financial statements versus corporate accounting. Support external auditors in the following areas: monthly tax calculation and payments, annual income tax, audited annual statement & transfer pricing and CBC report. Responsible for document safekeeping and retention. Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in accounting, finance or related field required. Master’s Degree or equivalent work experience in business, finance or related field preferred. Experience Business leader with at least 5 years of accounting, finance and/or management consulting experience. Technical Skills and Knowledge Financial systems: Accounting system Zeus & Payroll system Siigo, Windows. Strong technical skills in Excel and PowerPoint. Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills for senior management and staff. Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail. Ability to build and manage relationships with leadership, field support teams and key hotel representatives. Facilitate innovative approaches and secure appropriate advice and guidance from specialist finance areas.
