This role ensuresthe performance, reliability, and availability of critical Epic applications tosupport patient care and operational excellence.Duties and Responsibilities: DatabaseAdministration: Install,configure, and maintain Epic Caché/IRIS databases to ensure optimalperformance and reliability.Monitordatabase health, including backups, indexing, and storage utilization.Managedatabase upgrades, patches, and hotfixes in collaboration with Epic andIT teams.Assist withEnterprise Microsoft SQL support as needed. PerformanceMonitoring and Tuning: Analyze andresolve database performance issues, including query optimization andresource allocation.Implementproactive measures to maintain high availability and minimize downtime. SystemIntegration and Collaboration: Work closelywith the Epic application and infrastructure teams to supportintegrations and system interoperability.Collaboratewith network and server teams to ensure alignment of resources andconfigurations. DataSecurity and Compliance: Implementand maintain security protocols to ensure compliance with HIPAA, HITRUST,and other healthcare regulations.Conductregular audits to ensure data integrity and privacy. Supportand Troubleshooting: Provideadvanced support for database-related issues, including incidentresolution and root cause analysis.Act as aliaison between Epic technical support and the healthcare IT team.
