Position Overview – The Business Intelligence Data Lead is a technical and strategic leader responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise BI solutions. This role requires deep expertise in data architecture, reporting platforms, and advanced analytics. The BI Data Lead will drive Inspire’s BI strategy by ensuring robust data pipelines, scalable reporting infrastructure, and actionable insights. In addition to managing a team of BI developers and analysts, this position emphasizes hands‑on technical leadership, data governance, and performance optimization across complex systems. Key Responsibilities Define and execute the BI roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical scalability. Design and maintain enterprise-level reporting solutions, dashboards, and self-service analytics using Power BI, Tableau, and Oracle Analytics Cloud. Implement advanced data modeling techniques, optimize ETL processes, and ensure efficient data warehousing for high-performance reporting. Translate complex datasets into actionable insights through advanced SQL, DAX, and Python scripting. Technical Leadership & Platform Optimization Lead technical initiatives for BI infrastructure, including API integrations, data pipelines, and cloud-based solutions. Oversee data governance, security, and compliance by implementing robust access controls and encryption standards. Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to optimize database performance, troubleshoot issues, and automate data refresh and reporting. Act as a technical advisor to stakeholders, ensuring clarity on data definitions, KPIs, and reporting methodologies. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field; MBA preferred. 10+ years of experience in BI, data engineering, or analytics leadership roles. Expert-level proficiency in SQL, DAX, and scripting languages such as Python; strong understanding of data modeling, ETL frameworks, and data warehousing concepts. Hands-on experience with Power BI (required), Tableau, and Oracle Analytics Cloud; ability to design complex dashboards and optimize performance. Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and modern data architecture principles. Strong knowledge of data governance, MDM tools, and data cataloging for enterprise data standardization. Advanced Excel skills; statistical modeling experience is a plus. Proven ability to lead technical teams, manage large-scale BI projects, and deliver solutions in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
