# DBA – Database AdministratorCode: 537# DBA – Database AdministratorJune 17, 2026Bogota / ColombiaCompensation: $ 8.600.000 COP - $ 960.000 COPOn-siteShare**Purpose of the Role**Manage, monitor, and maintain the proper functioning of the organization’s databases, ensuring their **availability, performance, security, integrity, and operational continuity** in production and staging environments.The role will have operational autonomy to address incidents, perform preventive and corrective tasks, automate processes, support production deployments, and collaborate with technical and business teams to optimize data services.**Ideal Candidate Profile**A professional with a degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with solid experience in administering relational databases in production environments.We are looking for someone with strong analytical skills, a focus on operational stability, the technical judgment to resolve critical incidents, and the ability to work collaboratively with Development, DevOps, Support, and Infrastructure teams.Must have practical experience in monitoring, backup/recovery, preventive maintenance, query optimization, task automation, and support for critical operations.**Required Knowledge*** Administration of relational databases such as **PostgreSQL, Oracle, and/or SQL Server**.* Advanced SQL: complex queries, stored procedures, optimization, and tuning.* Backup, recovery, and business continuity strategies.* Preventive database maintenance: reindexing, cleanup, updating statistics, and integrity checks.* Automation using **Python, Bash, or PowerShell**.* Monitoring, alerting, and observability tools.* First- and second-level incident management.* Security best practices, access control, and operations in production environments.**Desirable*** Knowledge of replication, high availability, failover, and disaster recovery.* Experience in cloud or hybrid environments.* Experience working in agile, DevOps, or 24/7 support teams.* Experience supporting production deployments.* Knowledge of auditing, compliance, and technical review practices.* Familiarity with CI/CD tools, infrastructure as code, or operational automation.**Contract Terms*** **Work Arrangement:**On-site.
