Principal Engineer - Telecommunications - Data Centers Full-time Business Group: DCS Legal Entity: AECOM Services SAS Business Line: B&P - Buildings & Places Work Location Model: On-Site Operating Group: Group Support Primary Location: CO - Bogota, Colombia - Carrera 11 # The ICT Consultant will develop and formulate solutions to client problems on assigned projects, create work plans and task definitions, and use broad technical knowledge with a specialization in ICT infrastructure to perform complex assignments including surveys, design, development, and construction administration of ICT infrastructure projects. Key responsibilities include: Design and consult on Data Centers, Commercial Facilities, and Structured Cabling Systems. Conduct ICT design and consulting as part of a team of expert Consultants. Gather and correlate engineering data using established procedures. Work on detailed or routine design and consulting assignments. Propose solutions to new or complex problems encountered. Provide guidance and direction to mid-level consultants and production staff. Execute tasks in accordance with agreed budget and schedule with minimal supervision. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Intermediate level of English, written and spoken. Preferred Qualifications 10+ years of design experience with ICT infrastructure. Proficiency in software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Visio Professional, Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Project, Microsoft 365 Suite, and other ICT‑specific programs. Experience with codes, standards, and regulations such as permitting, state & local ordinances, IEEE C2, OSHA 1910, TIA cabling and data center standards, and BICSI manuals. Current BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification or other active BICSI certification. Fluency in written and spoken English.
