Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Optical Network Engineer with expertise in optical technologies and hands‑on experience with Ciena equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing network software upgrades, conducting network audits, and providing technical support. Key Responsibilities Perform software upgrades on Ciena optical platforms. Conduct network audits and assessments and prepare MOPs. Troubleshoot and resolve incidents and alarms related to upgrades. Coordinate activities with customers and internal teams. Prepare progress reports and project documentation. Provide 24/7 operational support for maintenance activities. Your Profile Optical networking technologies (OTN, DWDM, MPLS) Hands‑on experience with Ciena platforms (OME6500, RLS, Waveserver) Network software upgrades and maintenance. Network audits, assessments, and MOP preparation. Basic troubleshooting and alarm resolution. Experience with Site Manager and MCP/Navigator. Ability to work in 24/7 operations / NOC environments. Strong communication, documentation, and customer‑facing skills. Additional (Good to Know) Skills Hands‑on experience with Ciena equipment (OME6500, RLS, Waveserver, etc.). Experience with transmission devices or working in a NOC environment is an added advantage.
