Diversity, inclusion, and mutual respect are part of who we are. Role Overview The Workday Consultant will play an integral role in managing the Technology Stack within the CIO team. You will support the broader HR and Finance teams and the rest of the business by capturing requirements, offering solutions, configuring, testing, implementing, and managing Workday. You will have strong Workday configuration skills, with expertise in ERP, HCM, Recruiting, Advanced Reporting, and Payroll interfaces. Key Tasks & Accountabilities Configure and maintain Workday HCM and Financials modules. Support month‑end closing, reconciliations, and financial reporting processes. Optimize integrations with ERP and BI tools for financial data flows. Lead initiatives from start to finish, coordinating functional requirements and stakeholder needs. Collaborate with stakeholders, PMO, and implementation partners to guide initiatives. Provide subject matter expertise on configuration, data migration, and business process setup to ensure a smooth rollout. Manage and administer Workday system testing. Collaborate across business units to deliver user training and drive adoption. Work closely with IT Architecture teams to develop and maintain integrations with downstream solutions. Ensure legal compliance, security, and performance of Workday and its integrations. Provide second‑tier support by analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving Workday issues from HR, ERP, and business functions. Support future implementation phases, optimization projects, and enhancements. Document technical specifications (e.g., integrations, security, access management) and map impact across the business. Drive change by designing, sizing, developing, and deploying solutions through Workday to deliver additional value. Develop custom reports and calculated fields for ad hoc reports and data requests. Manage BI requirements in collaboration with Business and Data & BI teams. Train or upskill key users in the use of Workday and document training materials. Investigate, plan, and implement all system release updates and understand their impacts. Proactively review current configuration within Workday and suggest improvements. Conduct data cleansing and support system audits as required. Champion the needs of all Workday users. Participate in related IT projects and initiatives supporting HR and Accounting agendas. Academic & Professional Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Relevant professional certifications in Workday will be considered a plus. Experience 2+ years of experience implementing and/or managing HCM solutions, ideally with exposure to Workday or similar platforms. Certifications or formal training in implementation methodologies and best practices are a plus. Functional experience across domains: HCM (employee lifecycle), recruitment, onboarding, talent, performance, compensation, absence, reporting, integrations, or finance (ERP, GL, AP/AR). Holistic understanding of how these processes interconnect within the broader organizational ecosystem. Experience in HR data governance, best practices, and end‑to‑end process design. Proven experience operating consultatively within HCM projects, leading requirements discovery, influencing stakeholders, and driving solution design balancing business objectives, user needs, and system best practices. Skills AI Fluency – ability to leverage generative AI, automation, analytics for productivity and decision‑making. Strong analytical skills and data‑driven thinking. Consulting mindset – understanding business context, asking right questions, translating needs into value‑driven recommendations. Excellent communication and client‑service skills, engaging diverse stakeholders, articulating complex ideas, building trust‑based relationships.
