Lead the cloud engineering strategy and execution by building a high-performing team and defining scalable, secure, and cost-efficient multi-cloud architectures. This role will act as the technical authority for cloud initiatives, ensuring best practices in DevOps, infrastructure as code, and platform engineering while aligning technical solutions with business priorities. Key Responsibilities Build and develop a high-performing cloud engineering team through coaching, career development, and capability building. Define and govern multi-cloud standards and architectural patterns (landing zones, networking, IAM, security baselines, and resilience). Translate business and platform requirements into executable technical roadmaps, including costed architectures and risk assessments. Own the DevOps and application lifecycle, defining CI/CD pipelines, GitOps practices, and containerization standards. Lead the design and implementation of cloud solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and operational excellence. Provide deep technical guidance across AWS (primary), with exposure to GCP and Azure environments. Oversee infrastructure as code practices using Terraform and related tools (e.g., Atlantis). Drive continuous improvement in cloud security, FinOps practices, and cross-cloud integrations. Requirements Education: Professional in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields. Specific Experience: 10+ years of experience in IT. At least 6 years of hands‑on experience in cloud environments. Minimum 2 years in leadership roles managing technical teams. Technical Skills: Strong expertise in AWS (mandatory), experience with GCP (strongly preferred) and Azure (nice to have). Infrastructure as Code: Terraform (advanced level) and related tools. Containerization & orchestration: Docker and Kubernetes. DevOps & GitOps: ArgoCD, FluxCD, CI/CD pipeline automation. Configuration management tools such as Ansible. Scripting (preferably Python). Strong knowledge of cloud security and distributed cloud architectures. Understanding of FinOps practices and cost optimization. Language: Advanced English level (B2+ / C1, conversational).
