Principal Solution Engineer – Analytics (Salesforce) What You'll Be Doing The Analytics SE leads the technical sales cycle for Analytics and AI — from vision co‑creation through storytelling demos to deep‑dive workshops, showing customers the "why" and the "what." Ideal candidates have experience with Tableau, CRM Analytics, Salesforce core platform, BI, AI, and data integration in a customer‑facing role. Your Impact Own executive relationships by building trusted advisor relationship with customers: Understand their business challenges and data/analytics strategy Identify the best solution for their needs Support them in achieving their business goals Help customers become more data‑driven by showcasing Tableau solutions and building excitement around the platform Lead discovery sessions/workshops with business users to define, build, and implement solution prototypes Build and present customized demos proving business value Present Salesforce technology infrastructure, including Data Cloud architecture, software, networking, and security Articulate business value of Salesforce's analytics platforms to managers and executives at all levels Deliver technical/security responses on RFPs/RFIs Enable adjacent teams to position Salesforce's Analytic Platforms Drive new technologies such as Data Cloud, Agentforce, and Tableau Next Handle multiple customer engagements concurrently, strategizing with the sales team over prioritization and engagements Collaborate with the product GTM team by sharing customer feedback and drive thought leadership about analytics across LATAM Establish your role as a mentor to the less experienced members of the team by coaching on demos, contributing to team enablement programs, and knowledge sharing Willingness and flexibility to travel as needed What We're Looking For We’re seeking a proactive professional with solid pre‑sales or technical expertise gained in the software/IT industry or as an end user. Ideally, you bring broad technical knowledge along with some specialized expertise in one or more of the following areas: data visualization/analytics, BI, data quality, integration, MDM, databases, analytics infrastructure, or related fields. Experienced: Proven ability to build trust with customers and navigate the sales cycle effectively, with a minimum of 5 years experience in technical pre‑sales or consulting and a B.S. Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent. Technically strong: Hands‑on experience in one or more of the above areas; coding experience in Python and/or JavaScript is a plus; experience analyzing data, identifying trends, and building visualizations. Specialized knowledge: Experience building and delivering proofs of concept (PoCs) and responding to the technical and functional aspects of RFIs/RFPs; data analytics tools including Tableau, Looker, Power BI, AI: Python/R, data wrangling, machine learning; experience with data modeling, star schema design, and data warehouse concepts. Passionate: Deep domain expertise in analytics and data strategy, with the ability to shape customer vision, translating the passion into business impact and influence product direction. Strong communicator: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present to diverse audiences; solid presentation and interpersonal communication skills. Languages: English and Spanish proficiency required, Portuguese is a plus. Sales‑minded: Able to support the sales team with objection handling, business value articulation, and product positioning. Flexible: Willing to travel and adapt working hours as needed. Team player: Committed to helping teammates achieve not just individual goals, but team goals as well. How You Differentiate Yourself Official Salesforce Certifications (Tableau Consultant, CRM Analytics, Admin, Advanced Admin, Data Cloud, Agentblazer) is a strong plus. Experience with Generative and Predictive AI models. ETL tools experience (Informatica, etc.). Hands‑on expertise in modern cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, etc.).
