Job Summary We are seeking an experienced LATAM Indirect Tax Manager to lead and own indirect tax matters across Spanish‑speaking Latin American countries, with primary focus on Mexico, Peru, and Chile, and the ability to support additional LATAM countries as the scope evolves. Reporting to the Senior Tax Director, Global Indirect Tax, this role is responsible for indirect tax compliance, audit management and day‑to‑day advisory support in a complex and fast‑paced business environment. This is a hands‑on manager role that balances technical tax execution with a mandate for process transformation. In addition to managing end‑to‑end indirect tax compliance in‑house, the role plays a key part in evolving how indirect tax work is performed by modernising workflows and embedding tax requirements into financial systems. Success in this role means ensuring high‑quality compliance while proactively driving automation and scalability across the region. The ideal candidate has strong indirect tax technical skills, Big 4 and/or multinational experience, and the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Responsibilities Own all indirect tax matters for Mexico, Peru, Chile and other LATAM countries as assigned, including VAT/IVA, withholding taxes and other transaction taxes. Act as the primary owner for indirect tax positions, risks and outcomes in scope. Oversee electronic invoicing and digital reporting requirements, including Mexico’s CFDI and similar regimes in Chile and Peru. Provide clear, practical indirect tax advice to Finance (including Controllership), Accounting, Billing, AP, Legal, IT and business stakeholders. Translate indirect tax requirements into workable business and operational guidance. Support new or changing business activities by assessing indirect tax impacts and execution requirements. Identify indirect tax risks and operational gaps on an ongoing basis and recommend mitigation actions. Lead and manage indirect tax audits, reviews and tax authority inquiries. Coordinate with external advisors for country‑specific filings or audit support while maintaining internal accountability for all responses and documentation. Review and challenge audit findings where appropriate and support remediation actions. Use audit outcomes to identify process improvements and control enhancements. Drive continuous improvement of indirect tax processes with a focus on efficiency, scalability and sustainability. Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort, recurring rework and reliance on ad‑hoc fixes. Leverage automation, tax engines, data and AI enabled tools to improve accuracy, consistency and cycle time across compliance and audit support activities. Work with Finance, IT and transformation teams to embed indirect tax requirements into upstream systems and processes rather than relying on manual workarounds. Support the implementation and ongoing optimisation of ERP and tax technology solutions, including Oracle Cloud and indirect tax engines such as Vertex. Monitor legislative and regulatory changes and assess whether process or system updates are required. Partner closely with Finance (including Controllership), Accounting, Legal, IT, Operations, transformation teams and external advisors. Serve as a trusted point of contact for indirect tax matters, communicating clearly in Spanish and English. Execute in‑house compliance workflows consistently with agreed processes and standards. Qualifications Seven or more years of indirect tax experience with a focus on Spanish‑speaking LATAM countries. Hands‑on experience with in‑house indirect tax compliance preparation, audits and advisory matters. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to provide clear, practical guidance in complex situations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts in a business setting in Spanish and English. Comfortable leveraging automation and AI enabled tools to improve efficiency, accuracy and scalability in tax processes, including data reconciliation and research. Comfortable working with technology, including ERP systems (Oracle Cloud preferred) and tax engines or automation tools (Vertex experience is a plus). Big 4 and/or multinational corporate tax experience preferred. Highly organised, detail‑oriented and self‑motivated, with strong time and project management skills. Ability to work effectively across functions in a fast‑paced, global organisation. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. Portuguese language skills are a plus.
