As a Medical Documentation Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting our clients’ care planning and compliance needs by completing essential documentation. You’ll engage closely with clinical teams to gather and enter resident data into the MDS (Minimum Data Set) system, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and completeness in every field. What You’ll Be Doing: Assisting in completing MDS documentation and assessments (BIMS, PHQ-9, etc.) Gathering data from nurses, therapists, and internal systems to complete documentation. Accurately entering and updating resident information such as diagnoses, demographics, and functional status. Verifying data accuracy, cross-checking with records, and flagging inconsistencies. Ensuring compliance with regulatory timelines and documentation standards. Organizing and maintaining digital records for accessibility and audit-readiness. Staying updated with MDS standards and participating in training sessions. What You Bring to the Table: 1+ years of experience in a healthcare or administrative support role (long-term care or nursing home experience is a plus). Familiarity with MDS documentation or willingness to learn. Upper-Intermediate English (B2+) – written and verbal. Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in data entry. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Proficient in MS Office and data entry systems (experience with MDS software is a bonus).
