Responsibilities Provide highly specialized technical leadership in the analysis, design, development, configuration and support of cost effective, online HR management and decision support systems, specifically in Role Based Permissions Management and Platform changes as identified by the Core HR Technology management team. Resolve complex business problems under tight deadlines with conflicting priorities and changing project requirements. Manage multiple small projects, participate in and/or manage specific sections of large projects, and provide ongoing support to all assigned units worldwide (utilizing Agile methodologies where applicable). Understand and apply Service Level Agreements, including defining service levels in quantitative terms and, where applicable, qualitative terms for customer delivery. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex business problems, including analyzing business and user needs, documenting requirements, and translating them into systems requirement specifications. Attend intake meetings and coordinate changes with other Labs. As a People Manager, provide support to team members as defined by HR practices at Scotiabank. Provide support on related APM and Playbook updates and their supporting documents in accordance with Scotiabank Corporate Policies. Provide support across all modules with a focus on Role Based Permissions and Platform features, ensuring processes are followed and appropriate approvals are received. As a key member of the Platform team, provide guidance to stakeholders, improve knowledge of RBP and other areas of the SuccessFactors Platform, within the business and GHRT, and contribute to process improvements. Independently resolve complex, multi-faceted problems to meet business needs by applying HR and technological knowledge to the design of methodologies, models, and/or systems solutions; conduct research and analysis, define user requirements and processes, participate in reengineering HR business process workflows, and liaise with users. Manage multiple small and medium HR technology projects and/or manage specific sections of large projects to implement technology solutions to HR business problems. This includes planning and scheduling resources, developing detailed project plans, monitoring progress, and securing consensus and cooperation from users and senior management. Participate in the systems implementation process by interpreting business requirements into technical specifications, systems analysis, documenting detailed reporting requirements, configuring HR vendor software, ensuring integration with existing HR systems, developing test strategies and test cases, performing testing, defining user procedures and workflows, developing conversion and implementation strategies, verifying conversion, providing user documentation, providing user training, and providing post-implementation support. Participate in the review of QA test strategies for assigned projects/initiatives to ensure testing is comprehensive and aligned with business requirements. Support QA testing by analyzing defects to clarify business requirements, clarify technical specifications, determine defects to be resolved for implementation, and negotiate defect severity with users. Continually acquire and enhance knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems, strategies and policies, industry best practices, regulatory requirements, internal bank processes, and rapidly changing technology to provide effective business solutions and services to end-user business lines. Education / Experience / Other Information 5+ years of experience in SAP SuccessFactors Role Based Permission and other Platform features. A recognised undergraduate degree in business, economics, mathematics, or a related discipline, along with 4 to 6 years of practical experience.
