The Clinical Application Scientist at CooperSurgical plays a pivotal role in enhancing the clinical usage of the CSI portfolio. This role includes hands‑on in‑clinic training, workshops, and specialized guidance in biopsy practices and vitrification. Beyond technical support it emphasizes building strong customer relationships, fostering knowledge exchange, and ensuring utmost satisfaction. Responsibilities In‑Clinic Training: Lead and execute hands‑on training sessions for customers in clinics. Offer demonstrations and tailored lessons to foster a deeper understanding of the CSI portfolio. Create local in‑clinic "embryo care projects" that clinically demonstrate a safer journey for gametes and embryos, generating testimonials, in‑clinic data, and business cases. Biopsy and Vitrification Expertise: Provide specialist guidance in biopsy practices. Conduct in‑clinic vitrification training, ensuring customers are proficient and confident. Customer Support & Satisfaction: Assist customers in product evaluations, ensuring they select the right solutions for their needs. Lead optimization projects to help clinics maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of CSI products. Handle troubleshooting and address customer concerns, ensuring swift resolution and minimized disruption. Develop Clinical Application Scientist consultancy program that ensures laboratories perform to their full potential. Ensure all customer EQ needs are met—e.g., optimal use of RIW, checking service up‑to‑date, ensuring optimal use of CSI equipment—and forward any EQ leads to EQSM. Provide in‑depth product training and necessary technical support to CooperSurgical distributors in the region. Knowledge Sharing & Best Practices: Act as a repository of knowledge for the CSI portfolio, offering insights and best practices. Facilitate workshops and sessions to impart essential knowledge to both customers and colleagues. Collaborate closely with regional teams, sharing knowledge and assisting in training where needed. Increase publications, congress talks, local data/testimonials supporting both CSI #1 In Embryo CARE and in‑clinic implementation. Work closely as part of the global Professional Education and Clinical Support team (PECS), ensuring alignment of activities and sharing of global best practices. Support the scientific communication profile with inputs to White papers and ART Scientific. Participate in the global online training program offered by Medical Affairs. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long‑lasting customer relationships. Understand customer needs and provide feedback to the company for product improvements or new product developments. Team Collaboration & Support: Work harmoniously with colleagues across the region, creating a supportive and cohesive team environment. Offer assistance to team members, while also seeking guidance when necessary, ensuring the entire team's skills are continually refined and expanded. Continuous Learning & Growth: Stay updated with the latest developments in IVF medical supplies, biopsy practices, and vitrification. Engage in continuous personal and professional development, ensuring the role is always executed at its highest potential. CSI Portfolio Utilization: Promote the adoption and consistent use of the entire CSI portfolio in clinics, driving penetration of all CSI products; defined as CSI $/cycle increase (10% CAGR) per clinic/group of all renewables. Understand the features and benefits of each product and communicate these effectively to customers, ensuring maximum product utilization. Travel 80% travel around Central and South America clinics. Travel to support local and international events. Qualifications Strong reputation within embryology. Publications preferred. Confident speaker and networker. Collaborative; relationship builder. Practical, competent, patient, helpful. Adaptable and flexible. Languages: Spanish and English. Work Environment Hybrid work setup. The role requires 80% of travel time (field based).
