The Product Engineer will support the design, development, and optimization product lines. This hands‑on role will serve as a key link between product engineering, quality assurance, and production to ensure efficient, high‑quality, and cost-effective products for all business units within DYWIDAG. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Design, Develop, implement, and optimize new and existing products. Strong knowledge of steel material, HDPE, nylon and sourcing. Provide engineering support to the production team to resolve issues, improve efficiencies, and reduce downtime. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (engineering, quality, purchasing, operations, and vendors) to support product lifecycle management. Evaluate product designs for manufacturability and cost‑effectiveness. Analyze production data and recommend improvements for productivity, quality, and safety. Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions for product or process non‑conformities. Create and maintain documentation including work instructions, process flows, and product specifications. Maintain data base, create part numbers, add them in Navision/ERP system. Perform other related duties as assigned. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering. Min 4‑6 years of experience in a product engineering role, preferably in the construction materials or heavy industrial sectors. Knowledge of ASME, ASTM, AISC codes and experience in their applications. In depth knowledge of design and detail of steel hex nut, coupler, turnbuckle, clevis, bearing plate, other special components such as steel cap, bearing plate with pipe stub, etc., which will include the weld design. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and quality standards. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., "SolidWorks", "AutoCAD") and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis and use of it to check product after designed. Working knowledge of ERP or Navision systems and production planning tools. Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills. Ability to work onsite in a hands‑on, fast‑paced production environment.
