About the Role We are looking for a motivated Security Infrastructure Engineer Intern to join our team and gain hands‑on experience securing cloud infrastructure, applications, and developer workflows. In this role, you will work on real‑world security problems across AWS and Kubernetes environments, with exposure to vulnerability management, detection systems, and infrastructure security controls. You will collaborate closely with senior engineers to investigate issues, improve security visibility, and help build foundational security capabilities. This is a balanced role that combines hands‑on work—such as analyzing findings and reviewing logs—with learning and exploratory work, including understanding how security systems are designed and improved over time. What You’ll Do Assist with vulnerability management activities, including reviewing scan results and helping validate findings Support triage of security findings from internal tools and external sources Help analyze logs and alerts from SIEM systems to identify potential security issues Participate in basic security incident investigations and documentation Assist in implementing and improving security controls across AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure Support efforts to improve detection capabilities and monitoring coverage Learn and contribute to securing CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure workflows Work with engineering teams to understand and help address security issues What We Look For Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Cybersecurity, or a related field Basic understanding of computer systems, networking, and security fundamentals Familiarity with Linux and command‑line tools Interest in cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and infrastructure systems Basic knowledge of common security concepts (e.g., vulnerabilities, authentication, OWASP Top 10) Exposure to programming or scripting (Python, Go, or Bash) Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail Eagerness to learn and take ownership of tasks Preferred Knowledge and Skills Familiarity with containers (Docker) and basic Kubernetes concepts Exposure to logging, monitoring, or SIEM tools Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines Interest in areas like cloud security, infrastructure security, or detection engineering About You You are curious and eager to learn new technologies and systems. You take initiative and are excited to solve problems, even if you don’t have all the answers yet. You are detail‑oriented and care about building reliable systems.
