We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Data Engineer / Solutions Architect to join our team. This is a senior-level role responsible for designing, building, and deploying scalable cloud, data, and backend solutions that support both internal operations and customer-facing platforms. This position sits at the intersection of Data Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Backend Development, Cloud Infrastructure, and Business Strategy . The ideal candidate will be able to translate business objectives into technical solutions while leading implementation from architecture through deployment. Key Responsabilities: Business Requirements & Solution Design Partner with Sales, Operations, Accounting, and external clients to understand business needs and challenges. Translate business requirements into technical specifications, architecture diagrams, and implementation plans. Evaluate technical trade-offs between cost, performance, scalability, and complexity. Convert operational and commercial goals into scalable technology solutions. System Architecture & Technical Leadership Design end-to-end architectures across data platforms, backend systems, APIs, integrations, and cloud infrastructure. Define architectural patterns, including microservices, event-driven systems, batch processing, and hybrid architectures. Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, security, and maintainability standards. Act as the primary Solutions Architect for strategic internal and customer-facing initiatives. Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade data pipelines using Databricks, PySpark, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog . Build backend services and APIs using Python (FastAPI) . Develop production-ready SQL and Python solutions for data processing, automation, and system integrations. Optimize data workflows, pipeline performance, and processing efficiency. Architect and deploy cloud-native solutions within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, including: Azure Functions / Function Apps Own deployment strategies, environments, production readiness, and infrastructure reliability. Drive cost optimization, scalability, and operational excellence across cloud environments. Integrations & Connected Systems Design and implement integrations between internal applications, SaaS platforms, third-party APIs, and logistics technologies. Develop API-driven and webhook-based architectures to support seamless communication across systems. Ensure data consistency and reliability across distributed environments. Design scalable data models and relational database structures. Support business intelligence initiatives through reporting and analytics solutions. Collaborate on dashboard development and reporting capabilities for Sales, Operations, and Accounting teams. Promote data governance, quality, and accessibility across the organization. Stakeholder Collaboration Participate in client-facing and commercial discussions to understand business objectives and technical requirements. Support solution scoping during pre‑sales, implementation, and strategic planning initiatives. Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences. Create and maintain architecture documentation, technical specifications, and implementation roadmaps. Establish engineering standards and best practices. Support troubleshooting, production support, and continuous system improvement initiatives. Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in data engineering, backend development, or solutions architecture. Strong experience designing end-to-end system architectures (not just pipeline development). Proven expertise with: Databricks (PySpark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog) Python (FastAPI preferred) and SQL Experience in full‑stack or backend engineering with production systems. Strong understanding of system design, API architecture, and cloud deployment. Experience in the logistics or transportation industry strongly preferred. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
