Responsibilities Engage with customers and other Cisco stakeholders on successful planning and execution of validation engagements. Support next generation Service Provider customers to accelerate implementation of new platforms/solutions. Validate new design solutions to meet customer requirements. Drive requirements discussions, analyze test requirements, build test lab configurations, author and execute test plans, and document results. Identify key issues and gaps and work with engineering and delivery teams to resolve them. Develop/integrate new technologies into lab environments. Collaborate with Solution Architects from Delivery and Sales teams regarding future initiatives and securing customer business. Innovate to gain efficiency and accelerate validation efforts. Collaborate with other engineers to ensure successful project delivery. Identify and facilitate new business growth opportunities. Minimum Requirements and Desired Skills Deep technical expertise with Core routing and switching Service Provider technologies Preferably automation technologies. Candidates must also have strong customer interaction, troubleshooting, and consulting skills. They must be able to articulate complex concepts in easy-to-understand language . Candidates must be proficient in customer facing discussions Candidate must be proficient in technologies listed above . Typically requires BS plus 4-5+ years related experience or a MS with 2-3 years of related experience. Minimum Qualifications Previous experience in a customer support or TAC-style role Routing and Switching experience, R&S and/or SP CCNP Required Strong knowledge of IOS-XR and IOS Strong knowledge of Cisco SP platforms (NCS5500, ASR9K, CRS, 8k) Experience in all or most of the following: Service Provider technologies / Protocols - MPLS, L3VPN, L2VPN, RR, BFD, OSPF, Multicast, Ipv6, EVPN, BGP, RR, QoS, BFD, uRPF, Link aggregation Familiarity with IXNetwork, IXload; NGPF (NextGen Protocol Framework) Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and formal presentation) Ability and experience debugging and troubleshooting complex network problems Suggested Qualifications Scripting languages (tcl, python, bash, EEM) knowledge OpenStack Fundamentals Familiarity and Active Cisco certification. #J-18808-Ljbffr
