About the Role As a Junior Business Developer based in our Medellín office, you will leverage your hands‑on direct/offline marketing experience to identify and build new business opportunities with universities, companies, industry associations, and academic institutions. You will be responsible for planning and executing offline marketing campaigns and events to generate leads and drive business growth. Experience in organizing and managing direct marketing activities (such as events, fairs, and exhibitions) is essential. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Industrial Engineering, International Affairs, or a related field. Minimum 2 years of proven experience in direct/offline marketing. Demonstrated success in planning and executing direct marketing campaigns and events. Full proficiency in Spanish and English, both written and spoken. Experience in event planning and execution is a strong plus. International experience (studied, worked, or lived abroad) is a plus. Must Have Track record of generating leads through face‑to‑face marketing, events, or direct response campaigns. Ability to bring creative, actionable ideas from previous direct marketing roles. Strong organizational skills and ability to meet weekly and monthly lead generation and sales targets. Your core responsibilities Identify potential partners to work with. Generate leads and cold‑call prospective customers/businesses. Meet with customers/clients face‑to‑face, via Zoom, or over the phone. Create and execute an activity plan, participating in events that increase customer interest and boost sales (e.g., stands, exhibitions, fairs, presentations). Think strategically – see the bigger picture and set goals and objectives to develop and improve the business. Plan and execute daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly activities with the help of your direct marketing and sales colleagues within EF Colombia.
