Requisition ID: Employee Referral Program – Potential Reward: $0.00 We are committed to investing in our employees and helping you continue your career at ScotiaGBS Purpose The Manager position is responsible for overseeing the entire Accounts Payable operation for Canada, UK, US, IRL and Mexico, ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed. This includes the timely and accurate processing and payment of invoices, account statements, and employee expenses, managing KPI indicators, generating reports, ensuring compliance with SLAs, and liaising with the in‑country AP leads. Accountabilities Ensure the completeness, accuracy, and timely processing of invoices and employee expenses for Canada, UK, US, IRL and Mexico. Oversee the processing of all payments according to accounting policies and procedures by ensuring proper categorization and conducting policy checks. Guarantee adherence to established SLAs by maintaining quality control checks, performing root cause analysis, and creating action plans to mitigate processing errors. Address and resolve operating issues regarding invoice or employee expense payments and provide direction as needed. Provide client‑focused support, responding in a timely fashion to questions and communicating ideas using appropriate delivery methods (e.g., in‑person, email) and style. Act as liaison between stakeholders and the Bogota operation. Serve as the main point of escalation for internal and external clients. Work collaboratively with others within and outside the team. Manage staff within the team, from onboarding and training to issue resolution. Continuously monitor the staffing model to identify available or needed capacity and resource needs. Drive process improvements and implementation/automation, analyzing best practices, redesigning workflows to simplify and streamline processes, while improving internal controls and deliverable quality. Ensure the successful migration of new operations and processes. Reporting Relationships Primary Manager: Senior Manager, Finance Services UnitDirect Reports: Accounts Payable Supervisors Education / Experience / Other Information University degree in Finance, Business Administration or related careers. Experience of at least 2 years leading teams within a large organization. Advanced level of English. Working Conditions Experience working in high volume payment operations/accounts payable units or other high volume operations. Strong leadership skills. Previous leadership experience.
