Software Engineer (Buck2/Please) at BairesDev As a Software Engineer specializing in Buck2 and Please, you will work with alternative monorepo build systems to ensure fast, reliable, and reproducible software delivery. You will optimize the developer experience by focusing on hermeticity and efficient caching strategies across complex, multi‑language codebases. What You'll Do Design and maintain high-performance build pipelines using Buck2 or Please within large-scale monorepos. Implement and manage hermetic build rules to ensure consistency across different environments. Optimize build speeds by configuring remote execution and advanced caching mechanisms. Collaborate with engineering teams to define and enforce best practices for cross‑language builds. Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to dependency graphs and build artifacts. What We Are Looking For 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Build Engineering, or Developer Productivity. Proven expertise in managing alternative monorepo build systems such as Buck2 or Please. Proficiency in implementing hermeticity, caching strategies, and cross‑language build optimizations. Hands‑on experience with large-scale monorepo architectures and tooling. Strong background in automating and scaling build infrastructure. Advanced proficiency in English.
