Purpose Supports Caribbean Payments and Cheque Processing Technology teams and initiatives in International Banking ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed/delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. Responsibilities Supports a customer focused culture throughout the team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. Ensure proper support procedures and processes are in place to support the various existing production systems. Establish and champion quality improvement activities for the department. Function independently to ensure that the assigned tasks and project objectives are met. Accountable for managing assigned project and department budgets. Works closely with customers, Business Analysts, and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions. Meet scheduled milestones to ensure project/program objectives are met in a timely manner, in compliance with IT Technology Roadmap and has an in-depth knowledge of the principles, theories, practices and techniques for managing the activities related to planning, managing and implementing software projects and programs using Agile Scrum and Kanban framework. Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. Involved in the full system development life cycle and responsible for leading the team on designing, coding, testing, implementing and supporting application software to ensure the applications are delivered on time and within budget. Provide technical lead to team on production and user acceptance testing application support. Support management with providing effort and cost estimations for new enhancements or new initiatives for the Caribbean Payments and Cheque Processing Technology Systems in International Banking. Provide guidance and arrange training to less experienced analysts and programmers. Qualifications Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate. Graduate degree in finance, business, risk and/or economics is an asset. Experience with Financial Payments Ecosystem. Experience working in Agile. 5+ years of experience in related fields of finance, data, bank treasury, capital markets. Superior written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to audiences with various backgrounds and seniority. Hands on Advanced Excel, SQL, automation tools esp. low/no code. SDLC / Agile methodology experience. Working knowledge of data warehouse. Commitment to applying advanced to expert knowledge of business technology delivery practices and standards and related expertise, including design, development, testing and project management. Enthusiasm and willingness to foster a culture that encourages productivity, innovation, process improvement, teamwork and a high level of professionalism.
